Welcome & General InformationUpdatedMonday March 8, 2021 byWSGS.
Welcome to WSGS!
West Seattle Girls Softball is a local nonprofit organization and is fueled by it's dedicated volunteers. WSGS goals are to ensure that its players have the best possible experience playing recreational league fastpitch softball. We hope to build both team sportsmanship and individual sportsmanship all while having fun. We teach the basics and build skills as players continue with the program. WSGS looks forward to giving all girls ages 6-15 who are interested in learning the game a chance to build self esteem and learn about sportsmanship. We try to place players onto teams that will be most beneficial to their needs. No previous softball experience necessary.
Registration is open through March 26!
Players need to come to all practices and games with their own glove, helmet and softball cleats. Helmets should have an attacehd face mask and chin strap.
Personal bats are optional, though encouraged to minimize sharing of equipment. Please make sure it is marked as a softball bat (and not baseball).
Where We Practice and Play
WSGS uses Seattle Parks playing fields for practice and games. The fields are located in West Seattle and include Lincoln Park, Fairmount, EC Hughes and Walt Hundley.
Please note that if Seattle Parks and Recreation closes the practice or playing field due to rain, practice or the game will be canceled.
Seattle Parks & Recreation Rainout Hotline is updated daily at 3:30.
